Body language is the emotion (read: movement) expressed by the body. While we move during the interaction, the body expresses our thought. We can manipulate words, but our body cannot lie and will always show signs of our thoughts. Ex: A tensed shoulder, micro-expression, tension in a hand or a ‘closed’ fist might help the body to express the inner thought. We can read bodily communication observing these movements.
The body expresses three different states of the emotion while we are communicating and even when we do not talk the body communicates our imprinted, expressed and suppressed emotion(s).
The Dutch Institute Expertise Center for Body Language offers training and courses in English. Trainings are based on learnings of synergology, psychology, neuro-& communication-sciences.
